After all of the planning, Art on Lark 2009 has come and gone June 6th. The streets were closed for the day to showcase the art that makes Lark Street the Art District of Albany. This year went great! There were over 100 artists and artisans featured, exhibiting their work. The live music kept the crowd entertained throughout the day. The food court offered a great variety of dishes to eat while enjoying the sights and entertainment.
Lark Street was transformed into a giant visual and performing arts center for the day. Creative Chaos presented by the eba Dance Theatre held its hands-on experience to entertain kids of all ages. The People's Choice Art Show exhibited some great works of art by adult, children, and high school students at the Upstate Artists Guild. At the Washington Stage, great live music was provided for the day by The Albany Barn. The Madison Stage hosted many events throughout the day, including the 2nd Annual Project LARKway and LARK Idol.
